Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger have reached a stalemate in their bitter custody battle. The pair arrived at court on Friday for a hearing to determine who leaked a voicemail of Baldwin berating their 11-year-old daughter Ireland. The matter is yet to be resolved after Basinger's lawyers insisted they were not responsible. Baldwin, 49, left the courtroom twice during the four-hour hearing, and was reportedly overheard muttering "This is a waste of my f***ing time." Basinger, 53, and Baldwin have been locked in a lengthy custody feud since their divorce in 2002.
At Friday's hearing, the former lovers refused to look at each other and took seats at opposite ends of a table. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Maren Nelson closed the court to the public, for the sake of Ireland's privacy.
In April, Baldwin temporarily lost his visitation rights to his daughter when Basinger's lawyers played an angry recording of him branding Ireland a "rude, thoughtless little pig" for missing a scheduled phone call. Baldwin immediately issued an apology and blamed Basinger for leaking the tape.
