Naomi Campbell appears in court today over allegations that she threw a mobile phone at her housekeeper's head.
Prosecutors have been trying to negotiate a plea bargain with the supermodel's lawyer over the second degree assault, but Campbell has denied the charge.
Following her last appearance in court, her lawyer indicated that she would accept community service as part of her punishment, providing that it was something "palatable".
According the the Daily Mail this request came in light of Boy George's sentence to litter-pick, after pleading guilty to falsely reporting a burglary.
The catwalk model, 36, was arrested in March last year after her maid, Ana Scolavino, claimed that she had thrown a mobile phone at her, after accusing her of stealing a pair of jeans that Campbell has intended to wear on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
She could face up to seven years in prison if she is convicted.
