Former American football star OJ Simpson arrives at a Florida airport today after walking free from jail.

Simpson, 60, was granted bail yesterday in connection with the armed robbery of sports memorabilia collectors at a Las Vegas hotel.

But despite posting the $125,000 bail bond, he still faces charges that could put him behind bars for life.

Police have laid out a case making Simpson the leader in an armed hold-up of sports memorabilia collectors, and they arrested a fifth suspect in the case yesterday.

Legal experts say that issues such rightful ownership of the goods and the reputation of witnesses in the world of memorabilia trading could cloud the case.

Simpson has insisted he was merely retrieving items that were stolen from him.
