Sean Combs, the rapper/music mogul that goes by a slew of names ranging from “Diddy,” to “Puff Daddy,” to “P. Diddy,” has been named in a lawsuit filed on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The suit alleges that Combs punched a man and then pushed a woman while at a Hollywood nightclub.
Gerard Rechnitzer is claiming that on Feb. 25 Combs punched him, pushed his girlfriend and attempted to spit on another female member of his group. The trouble began when Combs began talking to Rechnitzer’s girlfriend. According to court documents Rechnitzer approached the rapper who then yelled at him "in a threatening and ominous matter."
The lawsuit filed then stated that Combs "intentionally, willfully, knowingly and unlawfully attacked, assaulted and battered” Rechnitzer causing him to tumble backwards and hit a parked car. Combs then went on to shove the girlfriend and attempt to spit on the other female.
Benjamin Brafman, an attorney for Combs, called the lawsuit baseless and said “It's just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat-out lie to try to take advantage of Mr. Combs' celebrity status”
